Administration
John Schultz has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of New River Health Association since January of 2013. John received his Bachelor of Science in Mineral Economics from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He brings 25 years of healthcare administration experience to New River Health Association. John enjoys the daily challenges and the constant change of managing a healthcare organization. John is passionate about the work of federally qualified health centers and finds this work particularly rewarding because he feels the services a health center provides truly make a difference in people’s lives. John enjoys living in West Virginia and when he is not working he and his son take advantage of the multitude of outdoor activities that this area has to offer.
Angela Barker PA-C, MPAS, BSDH, RDH is a WV native growing up near Summersville, WV and graduating from Nicholas County High School. She then went to West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the WVU School of Dentistry Division of Dental Hygiene in 1999. She worked in private practice general dentist office for about a year. She then decided to further her education and went to Mountain State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant in 2002. She later obtained a Master’s Degree from the University of Nebraska in 2004. Angela worked in a private practice for about 3 years after becoming a physician assistant. She came to New River Health in June 2005. She worked at the Richwood School Based Health Center until the flood in June 2016 condemned the center. She held the lead role in initiating dental services in the schools clinics that eventually lead to the two free standing dental clinics today. She became the Chief Medical Officer in 2014 and continues in the role and practices at the Summersville School Based Clinic. Angela enjoys working with adolescents to improve educational and health outcomes in her community. She thoroughly enjoys working for a federally qualified health center and believes in its mission to improve healthcare in her rural community. When she isn’t working she enjoys travelling, running, boating on Summersville Lake, Mountaineer sports, and going to her kids extracurricular activities.
Josh Boggs, MD, Associate Medical Director
Stacy Campbell, Director of Human Resources, comes to New River Health with a twenty year background in Human Resources, having worked in multiple industries at senior regional levels. Stacy grew up in North Central WV. She received her Bachelor of Science Double Major in Management and Marketing from Glenville State College. She moved all over the Mid-Atlantic with her employer and eventually received a Masters Certification in Human Resources from Villanova University. Stacy returned to West Virginia in 2005. She now lives in Nicholas County, close to family. After returning to WV, she was a patient at New River Health during her pregnancy with her youngest child. “The compassionate and competent care I received planted a seed that someday I would like to partner my career with the mission of this organization. I have always believed that employees are the heartbeat of every workplace, and employees working with purpose in a job they love can enrich the lives of those in the surrounding communities and be an unstoppable force for positive change,” says Stacy. In this position, Stacy also serves as the Compliance Officer for New River Health. We are happy to welcome Stacy to our team!
Luke Hrabosky, Chief Information Officer provides leadership, professionalism and vision needed to keep up with the ever changing dynamics of the modern network. He plans, organizes, supervises, manages and performs technical operational duties to oversee and administer NRH’s technology. NRH keeps all of their network systems in house including Cisco phone system, Cisco routers, WatchGuard firewall, EMR, Pharmacy systems, Dental, Exchange administration and many others. The network is diverse and takes a dynamic group of people to manage. Luke has been at NRH since November 2008 and the CIO since February 2015, he looks to carry on the legacy of his predecessor and mentor who still works as a Network Engineer at NRH. His leadership in the technological aspects in the field of health care is critical to the success of the organization.
Jerri Jones, RN, BSN, Chief Nursing and Operations Officer, is a lifelong resident of Fayette County. She came to New River Health Association in February 2000 as an LPN and staff nurse. She obtained her BSN in 2010 from Mt. State University, and assumed the role of the Director of Nursing that year. In addition to the Director of Nursing roles and functions, in 2017 Jerri assumed the role of Director of Operations. Jerri is a firm believer in the mission of New River Health Association. She believes that the services provided by New River have been instrumental in improving healthcare for many residents in southern West Virginia, and she is blessed to be able to play a small part in helping to provide that care. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family including her two children and working on her farm in Fayette County.
Karen Reed, R.Ph., CDE, Director of Pharmacy, is the pharmacist at the New River Health Fayetteville Pharmacy. Karen is a WV native graduating from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Immunizing Pharmacist. She has advanced training in medication therapy management as well.
Dustin White stepped into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role at New River Health in September 2016 after nearly four years as the Associate Controller for the organization. Dustin oversees the financial activity and planning for the entire organization. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Accounting and Management specializations in 2011. When he’s not working, Dustin enjoys going to church, playing sports, watching sports, and being outdoors.
Cindy Whitlock, School-Based Health Director came to NRHA from Tamarack in Beckley, WV. Cynthia achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism/Public Relations from West Virginia University. She served on NRHA’s BOD for 14 years and feels a connection to the mission and the service of the organization on a personal level. She leads School Health with a vision to advocate for dental, medical and behavioral health care for everyone regardless of income or geographic challenges.
