Whitney Boggs Whitney Boggs, MD grew up in Oceana, West Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Marshall in 2006 and continued at Marshall for her medical school training and residency. She completed her Family Medicine Residency in 2014. Dr. Boggs, grew up in a rural, coal mining community, and was drawn back to this area so she could help provide quality medical services to folks in rural West Virginia. he loves the outdoors, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She is taking new patients of all ages and works Tuesday-Friday at the Whipple site.

Josh Boggs Josh Boggs, MD grew up in Nicholas County West Virginia and graduated from Richwood High School. Dr. Boggs served in the United States Air Force and his call of duty included a tour in Afghanistan. After his military service he attended Marshall University where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology, graduated from medical school, completed his Family Practice residency and served as the Chief Resident. Dr. Boggs has experience in helping the geriatric population and has become knowledgeable about the issues that prevail in this population (medication interactions/adjustments, cognitive functioning, dementia, mobility, collaborating with home health agencies). Dr. Boggs enjoys fishing playing guitar and spending time with his family. He is glad to be back home in the West Virginia hills and looks forward to helping other West Virginians.

Tessa Ricottilli Tessa Ricottilli, PA-C is a certified Physician assistant working at New River Health since August 2012. Prior to coming to New River she worked at Cabin Creek Health Center, a rural health clinic in Dawes, WV. She is a 2011 graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College where she received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Tessa did her undergraduate studies at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA. She is a WV native originally from Nicholas County where most of her family still resides. She graduated from Nicholas County High School in 2004. She currently lives with her husband, son and family dog in Raleigh County. Tessa sees patients ages 2 and above for primary care, urgent care and women’s health.

Heather Boyce Heather (Vestal) Boyce, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant working at New River Whipple Practice since August 2012. Heather grew up in Rainelle, WV. She graduated from Greenbrier West in 2007 where she enjoyed playing competitive volleyball, basketball, and softball. She received her Associates and Bachelor degrees in Science at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, WV. She also played Division II softball for the Lady Battlers at A-B. She is a 2012 graduate of the Alderson-Broaddus Physician Assistant Program. Heather was married in November 2012 and currently lives with her husband, Tristan, in Oak Hill, WV. She attends church at Mountain View Church of God and is active in the choir. Her hobbies include fishing, camping, shopping, recreational sports, and spending time with her family.

golden Joseph Golden, MD is board certified in Family Practice and has additional certified qualifications in Geriatrics. He has practiced in the Sophia (Winding Gulf Area) since 1981. He is clinical faculty for WVU School of Medicine and the WV Osteopathic School of Medicine. He is on the medical staff at Raleigh General Hospital where he is the chairperson of the Family Practice Department and of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He went to medical school at University of Connecticut, did his residency in Family Practice at University of Maryland, and also received a master’s in public health from John Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. He is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate medical services at the primary care level, and believes one should treat their patients as one would wish for their own family members. He enjoys gardening, canoeing, doing a little farm work, and spending time with his wife and dogs.

cooper Crystal Cooper, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant who began working at New River Health in December 2008. She grew up in Wyoming County and is a graduate of Wyoming East High School in 1999. Prior to coming to New River she worked at Marden Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She graduated with her P.A. Degree from Mountain State University in May 2008. Crystal attends Pierpoint Freewill Baptist Church and lives in Pineville with her husband and their four children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family. Crystal sees patients ages 1 year and above for primary care, urgent care, women’s health and chronic disease management.

coffey Katherine Coffey, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, Katherine (Katie) Coffey, a Family Nurse Practitioner, has been working at New River Health since December, 2011. She is from Fayetteville, WV. Katie earned her undergraduate nursing degrees from Bluefield State College, Associate, then Bachelor degree. She then went on to WVU for graduate school, graduating from the Family Nurse Practitioner program in May, 2010. She has previously worked as a nurse on a Hematology, Oncology, Medical-Surgical hospital floor and one year of practice as a nurse practitioner at an office-based neurological practice. She has always enjoyed working with children and now enjoys her role working in the school health program at Mt. Hope Elementary School, as well as her primary practice role at Gulf Family Practice. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, reading, knitting, and spending time with family and friends.

Wendy Godby Wendy Godby MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, has been working for New River since March 2014 at the North Fayette site as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated in 2004 from Bluefield State College with her Associate Degree in Nursing, 2009 from West Virginia University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and 2013 from Wheeling Jesuit University with her Master's of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in the Emergency Room, with in home services for the Aged and Disabled, Case Management, and women & children's floor in the hospital. Wendy sees patients from birth and above for primary care, urgent care, women's health, and chronic disease management. She currently lives in Raleigh County with her husband and children. She enjoys reading, volleyball, and spending time with her family.

Kim Nemati Kimberly Nemati, PA-C has a Bachelor's degree in Health Science with a concentration in Health Promotion as well as a bachelors degree in Health Science with a concentration in Medical Science. She has a Master's degree in Physician Assistant, class of 2009, Mountain State University. She started working at New River Health in 2010. She is from Oak Hill, WV and resides there with her husband, three cats, two dogs, 1 parrot and 2 hermit crabs. She loves practicing family medicine and especially working in rural health in the community that she grew up in. She enjoys any activity that can take her outdoors. She loves spending time with her family. She is an avid West Vriginia University football fan. A long term goal of hers is to continue serving the community for many years to come.

Abdul Mirza A. Abdul Mirza, MD graduated in Pakistan and received medical training in Internal Medicine in the United States. He completed an endocrinology residence at the University Hospital in Buffalo, New York. He worked at Montgomery General Hospital from 1970 to 2008. He has worked with New River Health Association since 2008. He loves gardening and photography. He is interested in diabetes and thyroid disease and enjoys working in the Breathing Center with pneumoconiosis patients.

Autumn Feazell Autumn Feazell, FNP is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner working at New River Health- Scarbro location since February 2013. Autumn grew up in Weston, WV. She graduated from Lewis County High School in 1998. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2002 from WV Wesleyan College and her master’s degree in 2011. Autumn is happily married with 3 daughters and has lived in Fayetteville now for 7 years. Autumn specializes in adult medicine, urgent care, including simple skin procedures and suturing, women's health, pediatric patient's 6 months and older, and chronic disease management. Autumn is accepting new patient's at the Scarbro location and is looking forward to helping each new patient become healthier and happier with their health care.

Chris Brash Christina D. Brash, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC (Chris), has been working for New River Health since April 2014 at the Scarbro site as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is from Oak Hill, WV where she has lived all her life. Chris graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1988 and then graduated from Beckley Beauty Academy in 1990. Chris worked as a beautician for 3 years and then decided to be a stay at home mom for the next 9 years. Chris earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery West Virginia in 2004. She then worked at Raleigh General Hospital in the Critical Care Unit for a year as a registered nurse. In, 2005 Chris went to work as the Clinical Care Coordinator(Director of Nursing) at Hospice of Southern West Virginia where she stayed for 9 years. During that time, Chris attained her Masters Degree in Nursing from Marshall University, graduating from the Family Nurse Practitioner program in May 2013. Chris has been married to her husband for 24 years and they have raised two sons who are her pride and joy. In her spare time Chris enjoys spending time with her family and friends, boating and camping.

Joy Woods Joy Woods, PA-C is a certified physician assistant and currently works at the Summersville School Based Health Center. She started working for New River Health in February 2005. Joy graduated from Mountain State University Physician Assistant Program in August 2001 with a bachelor's degree. She got her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska May 2008. Joy is a native of Nicholas County and graduated from Nicholas County High School in 1994.

Angela Barker PA-C, MPAS, BSDH, RDH is a physician assistant that began working at New River Health in June 2005, where she is the provider at Richwood School-Based Health Center. Angie also helped to initiate the dental program at New River Health in 2007. Angie graduated from WVU with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 1999. She then graduated from MSU in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in physician assistant, and a Master’s Degree from University of Nebraska in 2004. She lives in Summersville with her husband and two children. She enjoys running, boating, and spending time with her husband and children.

Amity Boblits Amity Boblits, MSW, LICSW received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work in 1997 with a clinical concentration and a specialization in families and children. She has been certified in West Virginia since 2000 as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Amity has been awarded by The United States Department of Justice for Public Service, and she is currently a member in good standing of the National Association of Social Workers. Amity has provided mental health services to children and adolescents for depression, anxiety, symptoms or issues associated with abuse, and other childhood behavioral diagnoses. Amity resides in Fayette County with her husband and children. Her interests include child education and involvement in musical activities with her family. Amity currently provides mental health services at New River Elementary School-Based Health Center in conjunction with Hamlet Smith of Life Strategies.

Joni Stuckman Joni Stuckman, graduated from Mountain State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's in Medical Science and Masters in Physician Assistant. Since graduation she has worked in school health, first at Clay Primary Care in Clay, WV and then with New River Health. She currently works at Independence High School Based Health Center. She enjoys spending time with her daughters.

Melody Ruskin Melody Ruskin, FNP, BC is a family nurse practitioner who currently works at Oak Hill High School-Based Health Center. Melody joined New River Health in August of 2005. She is a graduate of Oak Hill High School. She attended Marshall University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in 1999. She continued her education at Mountain State University, earning a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2005. Prior to working at New River, Melody worked as a registered nurse in the emergency department at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV and Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley,WV. Melody lives in Oak Hill, WV. In her time away from school, she enjoys running, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Heidi Skaggs Heidi Skaggs, FNP, BC is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, has been employed by NRHA since August 2013, at the Valley School Based Health Center in Smithers.  Heidi is from Nicholas County and continues to reside there with her husband, James.  She graduated from Nicholas County High School in 1999 and earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2003.  As a registered nurse, Heidi worked at Summersville Regional Medical Center in the ICU and ER, and as a school nurse for Nicholas County Board of Education.  In 2013, Heidi earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Marshall University.  Heidi attends Bethel United Methodist Church, and she enjoys traveling, gardening, and cooking.

Hamlet Smith Hamlet Smith, MSW, LICSW, DCSW, works at New River Elementary School-based Health Center.  Hamlet received his Master’s in Social work from West Virginia University and has 20+ years experience in adult, adolescent and children’s therapy.  Hamlet’s number one objective is to see family relationships restored and uses client’s strengths to help them navigate the difficulties of life. In addition to counseling he is also available for workshops, seminars, and motivational speaking.  He, his wife, and children reside near Beckley, West Virginia.

Kerri White Kerri White, MSW, LICSW, works at multiple sites within in school health (Mt. Hope Elementary School, Coal City Elementary School, and Independence High School).  Kerri has been providing counseling since 2006 and her lifelong passion has been to see others improve their lives. Kerri received her Masters of Social Work at West Virginia University. Kerri, a lifelong native of Oak Hill, is an active member of her church. Most recently she has been a part of a team of people who work with both children and adolescents. She enjoys music as both a vocalist and pianist.
